    Hello, I’m Emmanuel

    Been drawing most my life and playing around with painting since high school. Studied art in college but been in limbo the last few years. After looking over some of my sketches figured I needed to bush up on my skills and was thrilled to see the NMA spring sale. I really want to focus on drawing and oil painting. Wanted to master oil painting since seeing La Belle Dame Sans Merci by J.W. Waterhouse in a textbook in high school. Really interested in the Russian academic method up here and a big fan of Juliette Aristidies’ books. Also wanted to learn anatomy in Huston’s class remembering being impressed by his work in magazines years ago. Some old work to compare later for the before and after NMA courses.

    Those are great. I’m looking forward to seeing the after paintings, too.
