Hello from Cape Town, South Africa!

Hi everyone!

I’m from the beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa, and have just joined NMA. I took art incredibly seriously in my teen years and then lost focus for my entire 20s, basically (so much regret). I’m now eager to get back into it, and am looking forward to ‘starting fresh’ and learning proper techniques, rather than relying on natural ability and instinct. I’m thinking of starting with the Colour Theory Bootcamp and the Painting for Beginners courses. Looking forward to unlearning and relearning everything I thought I knew about art.

I am so glad to hear you getting back into art.  Its such a wonderful journey.  It’s just my opinion but it seems to me that journey is totally unique to each person.  It all counts even if it doesn’t make sense right now, so no regrets ok. 🙂
