Hello there!

Got recommended to join NMA from a kind stranger on the internet when I asked for guidance for self-teaching. I’m turning 20 this year, and hoping to finally get better at art. I used to draw all the time when I was a kid, but I kind of dropped it off at high school for some reason. Now I’m trying to get back into it, and have been consistently drawing again for a couple of months. Since I’ve always drawn more stylized characters (think of cartoons and anime, things like Ghibli style) I hope that I will finally get my realism and foundations down, since I really am not confident in my skills right now. I also hope I can come up with my own style some day when I know what the rules are to break them! Maybe even tell stories with art ^^ I also purchased acrylics, and found my old water colors so I’m hoping to learn painting better as well.
