The greatest lesson I have learned from NMA anatomy lessons is the power of Gesture. We all heard it a million times but for me it took the millionth time for it to sink in. Thank you to all the teachers at NMA for all sharing that powerful lesson over and over until it finally settled in my understanding.

Gesture is so huge! At my old art school they went over gesture and always said it was important but did a horrible job explaining what it really means. NMA has done an amazing job explaining it. I love gesture drawing so much now I kind of get stuck up on it and never more onto the next stage haha.

Here’s to moving forward in our art journeys!

Gesture is the beginning and the end. It’s the ocean where all the rivers of technique converge.
