Drawing in Space Part3: Modeling

In this course, sculptor Robert Bodem shares with you his program “Drawing in Space”. Bodem has developed this program over the twenty years he has been teaching sculpture in the Florence Academy of Art. He is a cum laude graduate from Boston University. Afterwards, he travelled to Florence to continue his art studies. However, before finishing his studies, he returned to Boston to obtain his MA and receive a highly prestigious art award. Once again in Italy, he started the Sculpture Department in the FAA which he has directed for the last two decades. He has now moved to Greece to open his own atelier: the Athens Sculpture Atelier. You will be able to see the development of a figure sculpture from a life model. Robert will go trough each step of the process like understanding gesture, three-dimensional contours or the best practices for working from life.

In the last part of this course, Robert Bodem familiarizes you with the modeling. To do so, he shares his own personal approach while demonstrating in detail every step until the finished sculpture.
