Day 74: More figure sketching, trying to use what I’ve been learning from Steve Huston’s process. I managed to relax and enjoy the messy process today. That’s progress.Bryan, it really goes against my nature not to go for accuracy straight away, but I’m trying to do as you’re suggesting and I did enjoy it today. I’d like to do more exploration with this approach. I think that when trying to do this at the beginning of this challenge, I was completely floundering in such unfamiliar territory. Maybe it’s testament to what I’ve learned so far that I can attempt this now without the same drowning feeling!

July 23, 2020 at 3:35 pm #641031Thanks Joshua. I will. Time to learn some anatomy!

I did a little draw over clarifying the scapula and some key parts anatomical parts. I think that you generally have everything in the right -place, but it helps to know some of these things so you could really exaggerate them to make the drawing more convincing and effective.
Keep up the good work!

You’re doing such a great job studying the anatomy ! Already 79 days, you improved a lot 🙂
I always love looking at the clean look your drawings give

Day 81: I did this rotation study on the scapula today using the 3D model, to understand the form. I’m very glad I did this – it’s not the simple triangle I had previously assumed! I had to work sections out on the final two because the humerus was in the way on the model, thus I’m not sure how accurate these ones are.July 28, 2020 at 8:29 pm #647526 -
